Emma Pielen recently passed an important translation examination to become an ‘MITI’ – a qualified member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting (www.iti.org.uk).
All staff at Balthasar are encouraged to take an active part in their own career development and Emma has taken a lead in this and shown the way.
ITI exam texts are chosen individually to suit candidates’ specific areas of expertise and the exam takes place under normal working conditions. As such, it provides an accurate reflection of a translator’s standards and abilities.
Details of qualified translators can be found in the translator directory on the ITI’s website.
