The board of directors is delighted to announce that Mr Samuel Baldus has accepted the position of Technical Director of Balthasar Ltd as of the 29th June.
Sam has done amazing things for the company over the last few years such as integrating our in-house CMS application with our accounting package Sage 50 Accounts. This was achieved with the help of Zynk, third-party software that hands the CMS exported XML data files to Sage.
He has revolutionised the lives of our project managers eliminating many repetitive tasks and dramatically improving speed and efficiency in the processing of orders. In detail, he developed our CMS to generate batch files, in order to automate the creation, pre-translation and analyzing of SDL Trados projects. This was done by using the SDL Trados SDK API.
The project management team “build” the requests through our CMS Graphic User Interface, which streamlines the process, using SDL Trados templates, to generate multiple SDL Trados projects in a single pass.
The company’s Apache/Windows server notifies the user when the automation process has been completed, along with analysis details, and a generated quote for the client along agreed terms & conditions.
Sam does not intend to stop there – he has plenty more ideas to keep Balthasar ahead of the game when it comes to all that high tech can deliver in terms of efficiency and high quality.
